One of the passages that i chose from the story is on pages 4 and 5 they decribe all of the members of the Finney family. This is helpful because it allows you to know a little bit about all of the charcters, even though the book is, in first person, told from Mary Lou’s piont of view. Another passage that I thought was interesting was when the dad Sam Finney, brakes the news to the family that their cousin Carl Ray is coming to live with them (pgs.11-13). I thought this passage was interesting because once he had announced the big news Mary Lou’s mom was very upset. That tells the reader that the mom doesn’t want to have another person in the house.

1. Why was Paul content with being back up gaolie? Paul was conent with being back up goalie because he was happy that he was even on the team. Also, because he new that goalies got hurt all of the time and he would get to play in a few games. He also thought that he could show the coach how good he was when the team played scrimage. An other reason is that no one will notice his seeing problem because he is goalie.

2. What happened when Paul went in to the game for Victor? What was Victor’s reaction? When Paul went in the game for Victor, Paul scored a goal. Also, Maya was always getting the ball most of the time. Victor was very against it. He was against it because he didn’t want Paul to play for him.

3. Why didn’t Maya need Mrs. Fisher’s encouragement? Maya didn’t need Mrs. Fisher’s encourgagement because she is the top scorer on her team. She also didn’t need comfort from her she makes the boys’ team. Maya knows that she is a great soccer player. She doesn’t need other peopole to tell her that.

If I was making Tangerine into a movie the music I would choose would be soft adverturous music. The kind of music that is played in movies when people are driving their car on a beutiful day. I would choose this music because he is experiencing his new life in Florida. The mood of the story is mainly why I would choose this music. The mood isn’t mad and not exactly happy it’s in between, peaceful is the word that describes the mood of the story.

3. The way that the data is presented, in a pie graph and in percents, makes it fun for the reader to read because is has visuals to make the information look most appealing.

6. I learned that 54% of the homes have three or more T.V.’s in their houses. Only 2% have no T.V.’s in their room. That means that 98% pecent of the homes have at least one television in their home. I thought this was very interesting and I did not know that!
